"An Audience" is a very personal work for me. While arguably not a great painting. It is a fairly litteral depiction of a very significant moment in my life. From the begining of time, some cultures have used the psychodelic properties of plants to seek truth and vision. Many Shaman throughout different cultures say that there is a being or godlike creature that masters this world. Know most commonly in English by the name of Mescalito. The knowlege found in these plants holds many secrets. The plants must be used in great reverance and purity. As a seeker of such knowledge, and with pure intention. I was one night granted audience with Mescalito. He granted a great honor upon me. that all I ask I shall receive. And I looked into my hand, and it was done. Priveledged and favored amoung his children. I was granted an eternal gift. And wisely receiving this gift, I seldom ask for favor. One can choose many easy paths to one's destination, but what is given in an instant, rathather than through growth, is taken from somewhere else. When given the gift of infinity, one must ask for nothing but growth.
